Teaching points

  • Worry is an uncomfortable emotion. This does not mean it is a bad or negative.

  • Just like all other emotions, Worry ‘visits’ all of us. Feelings are always temporary.

  • Model 3 different times you have been worried for your children linking to what happened to your body and your mind. Emphasise why Worry came to visit and how it helped you with an obstacle you were facing.

  1. Have you ever felt worry free or worry full?

  2. Do all people worry about the same things?

  3. Is there a way to stop worrying about things?

  4. What examples do the children share in this episode?

    Extension activity:What advice would you share with someone who worries a lot?  Create a class worry wall with words of advice for the children to lean on the next time they’re feeling worried.
